Frey Named PRIDE Management Co-Chairman

ST. LOUIS - James E. Frey has been named management co-chairman of PRIDE of St. Louis Inc., the nation’s first and oldest voluntary construction industry labor-management organization.

PRIDE, founded in 1972, is an acronym for Productivity and Responsibility Increase Development & Employment. For more than 30 years, PRIDE has worked to maintain harmony and build cooperation among St. Louis area AFL-CIO construction craft workers, contractors, construction buyers, architects, engineers and suppliers.

As PRIDE management co-chair, Frey joins Gerald T. Feldhaus as labor co-chair and Richard J. Schaefer as owner co-chair. Jim LaMantia serves as PRIDE executive director. Frey is a senior vice president of Alberici Group, Inc., a diversified international construction services firm.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri - Rolla and has completed the executive program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Frey serves as a member of the board for Alberici Corporation, Fontbonne University and Associated General Contractors of St. Louis. He is chairman of the advisory council for the University of Missouri - Rolla department of civil, architectural and environmental engineering and has chaired several committees of the Design Build Institute of America.
